Hidden behind a nondescript door inside Eaton DC’s Progressive Library, Allegory connects cocktails with visual storytelling. Erik Thor Sandberg’s mural reframes Alice in Wonderland through the story of Ruby Bridges, while the drinks use culinary and molecular techniques to build a parallel narrative in the glass. Its current Banned in D.C. menu extends that storytelling into a new chapter, making art, history and cocktail culture part of the same immersive experience.
