Long Bar

Long Bar belongs on this list for a different reason from almost every contemporary cocktail bar: it is part of cocktail history itself. Raffles bartender Ngiam Tong Boon created the Singapore Sling here in 1915, and the drink remains inseparable from the room more than a century later. Peanut shells on the floor, dark timber and the two-storey colonial-inspired interior preserve a ritual that has become part of Singapore's cultural identity.
